We regret to announce that this year's Arizona Aviation Day at the State Capitol luncheon event has been Cancelled. Due to circumstances beyond our control, our event date of 21 January 2009 was cancelled by Capitol staff. The planning committee has met and determined that due to the extreme difficulty at this late date in securing a new date for this Legislative Session, the most prudent course of action would be to cancel the luncheon event this year. We plan to make informational contact with the legislators as soon as possible during this session and begin planning next year's event. As you may know, dates are selected for Capitol events beginning in July, six months before the session is to begin and at this point there are very few dates left, and none where we could conduct our event as planned using both lawns, a street closure, helicopter landing, and aircraft displays. We will be making contact with our event providers as well as all of our sponsors, exhibitors, and registered attendees to make them aware of this decision.
